Photography outing to Worden Park, Leyland.
Heavy rain and dark clouds through most of the day didn't deter the hardy group of members who turned up. The rain had stopped but the dark clouds still hung around. It was still very pleasant and we were fortunate to have Chiarn with us to brighten the surroundings.

5th March 2007 More information has come in about the hoax.
February’s edition of the Amateur Photographer has the whole story; which you might like to read:

http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/No10_petition_fuels_photo_rights_confusion_news_110568.html

Google for “petition photography restrictions” and it soon becomes obvious that firstly, there’s no truth in the rumour and secondly, an awful lot of people have been taken in by it.
Thanks to Glyn Davies for sorting it out.
Gordon Jenkins has some more information on the comments below, which I have received from two separate sources.

Gordon has asked me to include the following url.

Sorry about announcing this before but it has turned out to be a hoax.
There are a number of moves promoting the requirement of 'ID' cards to allow photographers to operate in a public place. It is a fundamental right of a UK citizen to use a camera in a public place, indeed there is no right to privacy when in a public place. These moves have developed from paranoia and only promote suspicion towards genuine people following their hobby or profession. Don't stand by and do nothing, sign the on-line petition here:
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/photography    Don't take any notice of this!!

We will be showing some of our prints at Chorley library during February 2006. This will act as an advert for our main exhibition of the year, the 'Annual Exhibition'.Which will be held at Astley Hall Chorley during the month of May 2006.

Photos for the exhibition will be collected in nearer the time. We like to keep work to a standard size and should be mounted on 20''x16'' card.

We had a wonderful open evening at the event in June which was attended by over 50 people. An interesting addition to our exhibition was the work we undertook as part of a lottery project with young people from the local youth club. Check out our photos of the night!!
