NEW MEMBERS GUIDE
Introduction
As Chorley Photographic Society continues to evolve, the last few
years have seen us embracing new and exciting areas such as digital
photography, the use of photographic software and of course the
internet with its endless source of information. These new areas
enrich the art of photography within the club, and by no means
replace the more traditional methods of the darkroom, 35mm film,
slides etc. The Society still aims to encompass every aspect of
photography for the benefit of all its members.
There is a wealth of experience and knowledge within our club which
existing members are only too willing to share with others. The New
Members Guide includes a section showing photos and giving
information on current members who may have a similar interest or
use similar equipment to you. Don’t be afraid to ask – everyone is
more than willing to help! It is hoped that these member profiles
will be updated every few months. These sheets will also be
available for all to look at each Meeting.
The traditional values and beliefs of the Society remain firmly
rooted and even though technology may be moving on in leaps and
bounds our aims and objectives still remain the same.
